HelloSunday is a social media content tool operated by Navyblur Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. HelloSunday helps businesses analyse the tone, style, and voice of their social media content in order to produce captions and copy that sound authentically like them.

For the purposes of UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018, Navyblur Ltd is the Data Controller for the personal data processed through HelloSunday.

2. What Data We Collect

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account to HelloSunday, we collect and access the following:

  • Facebook Page posts and captions (text content)
  • Instagram posts and captions (text content)
  • Profile information such as your Page name and account name
  • Engagement data such as likes and comments associated with your posts

We access this data solely for the purpose of analysing your writing style, tone of voice, and content patterns. We do not collect private messages, personal contact details, or any data beyond what is required to deliver the service.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the data we collect for the following purposes:

  • To analyse the tone, voice, and stylistic patterns of your social media content
  • To generate caption suggestions and copy that match your established style
  • To improve and maintain the HelloSunday service

We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising purposes. We do not share your content with other clients or users of the platform.

4. Legal Basis for Processing

Under UK GDPR, we process your data on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity: processing is required to deliver the HelloSunday service you have signed up for
  • Legitimate interests: we have a legitimate interest in improving our service and ensuring it functions correctly

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we have assessed that these interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

5. How We Store Your Data

Your data is stored securely using third-party cloud infrastructure (Firebase). All data is stored in encrypted form and access is strictly limited to authorised personnel.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as necessary to provide the service. If you close your account or withdraw access, your data will be deleted within 30 days.

6. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • With trusted third-party service providers who process data on our behalf (such as cloud storage providers), who are bound by appropriate data processing agreements
  • If required to do so by law or a regulatory authority
  • To protect the rights, safety, or property of Navy Blur Ltd or others

7. Meta Platform Data

HelloSunday connects to Facebook and Instagram via the Meta Graph API. By connecting your account, you authorise HelloSunday to access the data described in Section 2 on your behalf.

You can revoke HelloSunday’s access to your Facebook or Instagram account at any time by visiting your Facebook Settings under Apps and Websites, or your Instagram Settings under Apps and Websites. Revoking access will prevent HelloSunday from retrieving new data, but you should also contact us directly to request deletion of any data already stored.

8. Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right of access: you can request a copy of the data we hold about you
  • Right to rectification: you can ask us to correct inaccurate data
  • Right to erasure: you can ask us to delete your data (see Section 9)
  • Right to restriction: you can ask us to limit how we use your data
  • Right to data portability: you can request your data in a portable format
  • Right to object: you can object to our processing of your data

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at www.ico.org.uk if you believe we have handled your data unlawfully.

9. Data Deletion

You have the right to request deletion of all personal data we hold about you at any time. To do so, please email xander+hellosunday@navyblur.co.uk with the subject line ‘Data Deletion Request’.

Upon receiving your request, we will delete your data from our systems within 30 days and confirm once this has been completed.

You may also submit a deletion request by contacting us via the details above. We are committed to honouring all data deletion requests promptly and in full compliance with UK GDPR.

10. Cookies

HelloSunday may use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and improve your experience. We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking purposes beyond what is necessary for the service to function.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of HelloSunday following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
