With over 14 years being wedding photographers here in Northern Ireland, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best wedding venues on offer, most of which we have personal experience shooting at.

Whether you’re looking for the kind of vibe a stately home can provide, a cool city restaurant for a more chilled out soiree, or a field in the middle of nowhere to say ‘I do’ in front of a coo, Northern Ireland has it all.

From the green green grass of farm land to incredibly beautiful coastlines, let us guide you in finding some of the most popular wedding venues around.

Having shot at almost all of these places over the years, we’ll share our behind the scenes experiences at these venues. Whether that’s how great the staff are or what gives it the edge over the next venue down the road, we’ve got you covered.

If you have any questions or want to know our thoughts on a particular venue, please get in touch with us.

Can I get married in my garden or another outdoor location in Northern Ireland?

Outdoor civil ceremonies in Northern Ireland can only take place in locations that have been licensed as an approved premises by the council.

However, we’ve seen plenty of couples get officially married before their actual wedding date at a registry office with their witnesses. This then allows them to plan a more creative day without restriction if they have an alternative location in mind.

What is the cheapest day to book a wedding venue in Northern?

Typically, Monday-Thursday are the cheapest and most affordable days to get married in Northern Ireland.

In the past few years, more couples choose mid-week wedding dates which is especially great for those wanting a more intimate day. Guests aren’t always able to get work off or travel for a wedding in the middle of the week.

Once you’ve chose the venue that best suits your style and budget, you can then be flexible with your dates to help keep the costs down.
